Teaching Philosophy
I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. It was my 2nd grade teacher that really touched me and made me realize I wanted to grow up and become just like her. I loved everything about her, the way she spoke to us as a class, the way she would encourage us, and especially the way she made learning so fun. When I think about my teaching philosophy, I think about the things she did in her classroom and I want to be that kind of teacher. I want to be the teacher that makes learning fun for everyone but really makes it fun for the struggling students. I want them to feel safe and comfortable in my classroom so they have the desire and confidence to learn. I want my classroom to be a fun place to learn and let the students have opinions on what happens in our classroom. I think by having open communication with the students will build trust and respect. If you have the respect and trust from your students your classroom will be successful.
